Day 4 of March Madness Tournament of Books! Today, we had Jacob H and his reading partner reading 'David Goes to School' vs. Ridge L and Carter M who read 'Shhhhh! Everybody's Sleeping'. Today's reading champions were Ridge and Carter!

Library has been filled with Dr. Seuss! We have been reading about and learning about him all week! One of the centers in the library has been simply building with cups! We have a lot of future engineers, architects, construction managers, civil engineers, carpenters, interior designers, (the list could go on forever!) within the walls of New Underwood Elementary!

Today's winners were Theo and Ryder who read 'Porter the Hoarder'.

One of our very own 7th grade students, Chaisie Julson, spent a week at our state capital for the TeenPact Leadership Class. 'The Four Day Class is a dynamic, hands-on leadership experience where students learn about state government from a Christian worldview. Students gather to run for office, participate in a mock legislature, and learn about how they can be effective leaders in their community back home.' Way to go, Chaisie! We are proud of you.
