More Fruit Sales Fun Day pictures.

Middle School and High School students recently went on their Fruit Sales Fun Day. The day started off at Elk’s Theatre to watch Captain America: Brave New World. After the movie, they headed to Rushmore Crossing for some lunch and shopping. The day ended at Get Air.

Big shout out to Mrs. Calvetti, Mrs. Labs and Miss Swanson. Each of these amazing teachers applied for the West River Electric Teacher Scholarship; each were awarded $500. These teachers are dedicated to improving their classrooms and the education of their students. Thank you for all that you do and congratulations!

Ms. Pickett's fourth grade class just received pen pal letters from fourth grade students from Holy Redeemer Elementary in New Foundland, Canada. Along with the letters, the class also sent a magnet and a lanyard from their Canadian Province of New Foundland and Labrador. What an exciting opportunity for all these fourth-grade students! Happy writing!

February 15 was National SRO Day (school resource officer). New Underwood Elementary students gathered to celebrate the day and to honor Deputy Cody Rhoden. We appreciate Deputy Rhoden for keeping our schools safe and for being the positive mentor for all of our students.

New Underwood Elementary students will be showing their enthusiasm for reading by participating in Read Across America Week, March 3-6, 2025 by having a dress up week! March 3rd marks Dr. Seuss' 119th birthday so to commemorate the reading icon; wear a hat! Students will have a surprise reader that morning! March 4th will be wear crazy socks day, March 5th is dress your wackiest and March 6th is wear PJ Day! As we do every day, make sure to crack open those books and spend time together reading!

TIGER WAY: In January, the staff members who showed Respect were Mrs. Heinert and Mr. Martinmaas.

TIGER WAY: In December, the staff members who showed Enthusiasm were Mr. Jager, Mrs. Merchen, and Mrs. Heinert.

TIGER WAY: In November, the staff members who showed Graciousness were Mr. Oleson and Mrs. Rodenbaugh.

TIGER WAY. In October, the staff members who showed Integrity were Deputy Rhoden and Miss Lana.

Here at New Underwood Schools, students are asked to follow the TIGER WAY. It stands for Tenacity, Integrity, Graciousness, Enthusiasm, Respect, Wit, Adaptability, and Yet. This year, Rickkie Martinmaas, started working with all the students to find out which of the staff members are following the TIGER WAY. In September, the staff member for Tenacity was Miss Fehr.
